Who makes a really fabulous pair of black work skinny pants?

The Simone pants look...not great on the model's backside on Nordstrom.

I agree with you. I bought the “long” version online, and they’re still too short. I’m 5’8”.

Haven’t found a different brand that with any better, though...

I'm 5'9". Happened to be a the mall yesterday so tried on a pair at BR. They are well above ankle length for me, but otherwise fit well and I feel like they'll be comfy and good for work so I ordered the long length online. Will report back ...

The BR Sloan are the best! I have about 8 pairs, they are cheap, wash well, and fit great with the perfect amount of stretch.

+1 Love the BR Sloan (not the washable pair though, the ones that are supposedly only "Dry Clean.' Note however, that I still machine wash these and hang them dry. They come out fine.)

I'm 5'7 and the long version is perfect for me with a 1 inch heel in the winter. I wear the regular version in the summer with no heels and they hit at my ankle.

Ok, pants arrived so I'm reporting back as promised. The Sloan modern cut pants in long go just past my ankle, just hitting the top of my foot below my ankle. With the right shoes, they are ok for winter. They are unlined (no surprise) but on the thinker side so ok. I also ordered the Ryan style pants in L. I think they are listed on the BR website as having the same inseam as Sloan, but that is wrong. The Ryan pants in L are normal pants length on me (not ankle). On the continuum of business casual to business attire, Ryan is slightly more business than business casual like Sloan. They are also less skinny but still well proportioned. However, due to the difference in cut, I need to reorder a size smaller in Ryan. I am in between sizes so ordered my larger size for the Sloan modern cut, and went with the same size for Ryan. Ryan also is washable.

Does anyone in here feel that their fave work pant has some thigh compression?

NP. I am also replenishing basics in my wardrobe. I bought a couple pairs of the Sloan modern cut machine washable today. I’m 5-3 so the ankle length was a regular length on me, which I liked. As others have suggested, these are appropriate for a pretty casual office environment, or as a jeans alternative for weekend. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.

What does thigh compression mean? Like for saddle bags or to make it look like you have a thigh gap? I’m trying to see if this is something I need
