I volunteer for Literacy Council of NoVa as an ESL tutor.

I walk almost every day. In nicer weather I sometimes run.

I read a decent amount, probably 25 books a year.

I do crossword puzzles with my husband.

I follow home design blogs and spruce up my house.

I call or text family & friends.

I volunteer as an assistant coach for my kids team

I also work full time. I cut back on some of these when that gets busy. My kids are teens.

Hiking
Cross-country skiing (I obviously don't live in DC) and this winter hoping to take up snowshowing

Pottery - for me, I love pottery because I sign up for classes, and having the set time to go every week takes away the pressure I find with doing creative projects at home (ie I'm not motivated to take everything out, clean up etc). Having a set 2.5 hour session where I just need to show up and everything is provided means it will actually happen.

Reading -I love to read, and use Goodreads to track all of my books, what I will read next etc.

I’ve returned to riding after a decades-long break. Hoping to regain enough skill to start eventing again later this year.

I love this! Do you mind sharing where you are riding (if in the DC area?)

I grew up riding hunter/jumper and was thinking I would really love to start again. Pure joy and something just for me. Because right now, everything is just a slog TBH
(single mom, taking care of elderly mom, working at home b/c of Covid, blah blah blah)

I took up watercolors this summer. I started with a series of books called Watercolor With Me in the Forest/Ocean/Rainforest.

I bought a mannequin that's adjusted to my exact size. I make clothes. More fun than relying on patterns

I swim 4-5 x a week. Great cardio and strength-building, and theraputic, too!

Fun!!! I play guitar and am going to start doing more songwriting. Funny thing, is my husband always gives me a weird look when I say I write songs, as if I’m lying. Truth is, he’s so horridly critical that I just don’t share the activity with him.

I have a new camera and want to learn to use it

I volunteer doing service projects with my church youth group but that’s on hold.

I love to bake and have committed to 2 new recipes a week.

I’ve started cross stitch again and would like to learn to crochet

Have you heard about Minatur Wonderland in Hamburg Germany? I've traveled all over the world and it is by far one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. I think there is a documentary somewhere about it...
