In early dementia did your parent regress in how he/she treated you?

I am sort of convinced the "stop being selfish" poster (who keeps being deleted by Jeff) is someone with serious mental issues herself, who makes her family suffer and doesn't want to accept those consequences.

Lately, what I am seeing a lot of is EXTREME anxiety and obsessiveness. Won't consider meds. Has always been anxious but now it is all the time and so excessive. Changing the topic, using a calm reassuring voice, validating concern or distracting only help a little and when cognizant of the technique goes to being a petulant parent telling you to listen because parent knows best.
