One Rubbermaid bin per kid. The milestones, first drawing of family, first drawing of a person, anything I or they found particularly wonderful and exciting, went in there. The rest would mysteriously disappear into the recycle bin just before I brought it to the curb. No one could find it or wonder how their wonderful art ended up in the trash.
Kids are currently teenagers, there's a little bit of room left in each bin, but not much. What goes in there now are certificates they get from school for various things. Eventually, the bins will go to them. Then they can decide what to do with the contents.
