Is there any alternative to humidifiers?

also dangerous if you have kids or pets. While I know the water isn't boiling, it gets plenty hot on a radiator.

Yep. I keep the house at 68 degrees. I bundle up. Any hotter and my hands start to crack and bleed and my legs are like dry logs. At night i turn it down to 66, or i wake up in the middle of the night with a scratchy throat.

I hate the heat at my office. I weer sleeveless and short sleeves at work in winter, and no socks.

and i do use a humidifier, which i clean once a week with white vinegar. It's no big deal. In fact, I'll go do it right now.
