Neva sounds like nevus (mole) I say go with Saya. |
Adina Saida Zadie Neva are my faves - Zadie #1 and Neva #2 |
OP, please rethink these names. None of them are easy on the ears and all seem tough to pronounce. |
Not wild about anyone but it is your decision. Of them all, I like Alani the best. Easiest to spell and pronounce. And, it is pretty. |
OP- please clarify- are you from a different country or is your DH? otherwise- these names are too out there for me (and I am not an Emma advocator) |
PP- sorry- didn't read your post- (just went to last posting)- if you plan on being in the usa or a while consider a more english friendly name- avoid names that create confusion=- that;s it from me |
I like Syra, but also like the spelling Saira. I also love Saori and Neva. But my favorite is Saya. I chose that name for a character in a story I wrote. I took it from Sayaw, which means "to dance" in Cebuano dialect. |
Don't listen to the haters. I think they are beautiful names. I love Adina personally. |
OP, put that list away for now. Start fresh in about a week or two. |
To each its own. But I am not crazy about those names. I don't have the background or referential point to "get it." It sounds like a name for a Toyota. |
Another alternative to Saori is Sayuri, which means "lily." That was Zhang Ziyi's name in Memoirs of a Geisha. I think Sayuri is beautiful. |
Completely agree. And your whole process smacks of a focus group/ consumer poll. Do you happen to work for a marketing company or advertising agency? Just pick a name or two that you like. Truly, it's not this big of a deal. |
