road were pretty much dead that day. so it would have been easy to go fast with out anyone bothering you.. |
110 on Huntington Parkway in Bethesda. |
| Police officer ticketed me for doing 127 mph on I-74 between Peoria and Galesburg, Illinois. Clear day, no traffic. I put my foot down. |
Have you ever driven on a highway where the speed limit is 70 or 75? |
| My flux capacitor doesn't let me drive above 88mph |

Germany: 155 on the autobahn in an E-Class
US: 137 in my RR Sport and 124 in my wife's RX350 (both wouldn't go any faster and didn't take particularly long to get there) |
Yes. Still don’t feel safe over 75. Clearly I don’t have a high tolerance for risk! |
Must have been before they added in the speed bumps a few years ago. |

200 km/ h used to be quite common in Europe.
That's something like 130 miles/ h, I guess. Not a big deal with good roads and good drivers. |
I lived in Dubai. Friend worked in AD. When she went to register her car at the beginning of the year, she found she had$20,000 in speeding tickets !!! |
| 145 on the Audubon. It was a rental car, but we were getting smoked by other cars flying by us. |
No, longer. About 20-21 years ago actually. Don't remember when exactly, but it was the summer or two before 9/11. In a GMC Typhoon SUV. I remember blasting past a guy walking a dog, and the dog jumping like 5 feet in the air from being scared, hahahaha. I've mellowed a lot since then, but my hubby still says I drive too fast! |
In southwest Connecticut?! When is that road ever empty? |
