| I know 2 people who go by BJ, one male and one female. It is a total nonissue. |

I think BM is the worst....
(Bowel movement) |

I had a friend Brandi Jean. (Jean as middle name). No issues through junior high and high school. Mostly went by Brandi but some friends called her bj or beej.
Most of the name teasing happens (if it happens) in early elementary school and little kids won't know bj or BM. |
| Pick whichever middle name you like best. No one will see their first initial and middle initial written like that (BJ, BS, BV, BM). I can't remember a single time in my life that anyone ever had just my first and middle initials written on something or said them together out loud and I can't imagine why this would ever happen. If you use your initials at all, it is your first and/or last initials or first-middle-last all together. |

A BS here...it didn't affect me until I started working and my job used initials a lot. It's not the best combo but I started using my middle intial.
It also doesn't monogram well, which you may want to consider if you live in the south or like monograms. https://www.facebook.com/itisasouthernthing/videos/if-bad-monograms-had-support-groups/2010164249313586/ |
| Agreed that you're way overthinking this. I've never even thought about my first and middle initial together. |
| My husband is BMW. I asked him once if anyone ever called him Bowel Movement Lastname and he looked at me like I was nuts and said no. It'll be fine, OP! |
+1. I sometimes use my initials. For example, when I edit or make comments to a document, my initials are included. However, it’s always first, middle and last. I can’t think of a time I’ve ever used first and middle. I wouldn’t worry about it, OP. |
| Haven’t you ever heard of B.J. McKay and his best friend Bear? |
| I'm a female BJR and it's really been a non-issue. Unless you plan on using BJ as a nickname (which some friends have done teasingly to me over the years), most people will have no clue about your kid's middle initial. My family never referred to me by initials. |

For a middle name, non issue.
I married into BM as my initials - we use initials a lot at work, I always include my middle initial. |
| BVR makes me think of “beaver” which I’m guessing is not ideal. |
| BVD wouldn’t be great either. |
Huh? I don’t get this |
