Hey, did you vote?

This is about people caring about sensible gun laws and health care and women's rights. The Rs are out of step with a majority of the state - and now it shows.

This. And also fair congressional districts following the census. I’m done with the tyranny of the minority.

I gotta say that I find this trend of voting all D simply because one wants to “stick it” to Trump disturbing. Typically, someone who does this has no knowledge or awareness of the people they’re voting into local or state office — positions BTW which have more impact on day-to-day life than the Office of President or Congress.

Don’t forsake your reason for emotion. Empower yourself. Do the research beforehand. Vote for the candidates, not blindly against Trump, McConnell, or McCarthy. Maybe the outcome on the ballot is the same, but at least you can walk away from the polling booth knowing that you exercised your constitutional duty with some integrity.

Integrity is also about ensuring that there is a check on POTUS and his cronies at every level. Not voting to restore balance is arguably more of an abdication of your constitutional duty. These are not normal times and your POV ignores the forest for the trees.

Seems like you think the whole Republican “forest” is diseased; it’s not.

It is.

Yes it is. So is the Dem forest. Great endorsement of blackface this election. Dems true colors shine thru. Maybe the poster that said they didn’t vote had it right. Our politicians are all very disappointing.

When practically the entire democrat party enables, defends, and supports blackface, you’ll have a valid point. That’s not the case (as it is for republicans)—so, you don’t.

I did not vote - almost no race was contested.

ALL BLUE, BABY.

Only suckers vote but I am happy that Virginia will have Democratic Party government. We can increase pricing on our contracts with them at least once a year. It is open pocket time with them just like Maryland.

I did. I’m in Arlington and there wasn’t much to vote for, but I was driving within a block of my polling place and it was 6:30pm, so I thought “what the heck, why not”. So my kids got some stickers and lollipops and I cast my ballot.

I do not care about blackface, sexual assaults, dick pix or the other stupid things politicians do. I just want them to pass legislation that will benefit me and the Dems do that.

There were not any competitive races on my ballot in Arlington, but I voted anyway and wrote in some candidates to shake my fist at the clouds.

not sure why people think that the Dems endorse blackface. The top Dems asked at least the Governor to step down. He did not. Short of impeaching him, there is little that can be done if he refuses to leave.

I frankly do not think Herring's offense is as egregious, and would not personally call for his resignation.

I do think Fairfax should resign as well. The evidence against him is pretty damning. And that really does pain me to say because he seemed like a decent dude. I met him and just genuinely liked him.

I did one write in yesterday, and I don't know that I have done that before. I just could not vote for Omeish. I wrote in Moon as my protest.
