What do you mean, exactly?

NP. Fugue is an episode of dissociative amnesia. The person forgets everything, including who they are, and tends to travel or wander away in a panic. It can last anywhere from days to years and some people have multiple episodes. Occasionally you read weird news stories of some missing person being found years later, living somewhere else under a different name but with no idea that they did so or that anyone is looking for them.

That is something you saw on a True Crime TV show. In real life it doesn’t happen. She’s either met with foul play or taken off due to personal reasons.
if she’s bipolar she might be doing manic things

Anonymous wrote:Nobody reported her missing for SEVERAL DAYS?

My mom was a public school teacher for 25 years and her principal called me to check on her when she didn’t show up for a half day of training—not even a day she was responsible for kids.

According to the published reports, family members were with her until 11pm on Saturday night. She didn't show up for work on Monday morning and was reported missing then, around 36 hours after she was last seen, so it wasn't several days. She is a lovely person and a very caring teacher who always goes the extra mile for the kids. Hope she is found safe.

O.k. this makes more sense. That article did use some funny wording. It made it sound like she had missed work several times, this does make a lot more sense.

I hope she is found safe. It seems odd that she would leave her family member's house at 11pm and say that she was going out somewhere. But it must not have worried them or they would have been checking on her Sunday and apparently no one did.

Manic is usually very high-visibility or easily tracked behavior like spending sprees or getting kicked out of nightclubs. The type of things that show up on CC statements and security cameras. Could be the other end of the pole, that she’s holed up in a no-tell motel in a near catatonic state.

Wow, so relieved. Thank you for sharing the news.

Just saw that in the Moco show post. I'm so relieved too!

I'm glad to hear that she has been located unharmed. That is truly wonderful news.

The school can decide what, if anything, needs to be done with regards to her employment.

I hope she's doing better. It must have been something serious.

I'm sooooo relieved she is okay. I hope she knows now how many people care about her. I think she should be fired or re-evaluated as a teacher, though. You don't just now show up for work for a week and expect your job to be there when you get back. Unless she has some incredible explanation, she should not be around kids.

Again, we were worried sick about her and are so so so so so grateful and relieved she turned up safe and unharmed.

You know there are plenty of teachers who have chronic illnesses, and there are teachers who have mental health needs. We have no idea what her story is, but taking her job away is not ethical or even legal.

Why she went missing is not important. Let's just be happy that she is found safe.
