This is all besides the point, though, because--contrary to what CNN and the NYTimes have said--it's not consistent with the results of any presidential election anyone can find. It's fabricated. |

The Tweet doesn't make sense on many levels, but it is an acknowledgement, whether they realize it or not, that the Electoral College is the only thing standing in the way of the current mess that is the GOP from being totally irrelevant on the federal level.
Abolish the Electoral College. Why should red states matter more than blue states? One person, one vote. Of course, once Texas turns blue, it is game over for the current GOP as we know it, regardless of the Electoral College. Better ram through unqualified partisan judges and tax cuts for the wealthy while they still can! |
I still think a more workable solution is to expand the size of the house by making maximum district sizes. the apportionment stuff is nonsense and NOT in the constitution. |
|
Not that many people know that the House was supposed to be expanded to accommodate population increases.
Congress passed a law in the early 20th Century setting the House at its current size, which is absolutely anti-democratic. If the UK can have a House of Commons that has 600+ members, then we can certainly have a larger House of Representatives. |
Yes, the size of the House was capped a hundred years ago and it’s completely ridiculous. Each House member is representing more than 700,000 people. The New Hampshire state legislature has almost as many members as the U.S. House, FFS. |

Did he take a sharpie to the map? LOL
Most of the population live in urban areas, ie, the blue areas, and Trump's win in the swing states were weak: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/upshot/election-2016-voting-precinct-maps.html#2.69/40.08/-93.19 AZ was a weak red, and now we know TX is also in play. If Rs are smart, they should look at where he's weak. |
Trump should color in Greenland while he's add it. |
| Don't forget Russia |
Shoot, there's been so much cr@p coming down the pike I totally forgot about Greenland! People 100 years from now will not believe all this stuff when they read about it in history books. |
| Nixon's 1972 map, huh? How . . . ironic. |
What are you talking about? It's a perfect map. People say it can't get any more perfect than this map. Anyone who says it isn't needs to be arrested for Treason! |
It is very ironic, because after that map congress did move towards impeaching Nixon |
