| Georgia. Vivian is played out. |

| LOVE Georgia! |

Vivian definitely.
The only Georgia I know has a mother who is extremely smug and out of touch. So bad association. Plus Gigi reminds me of a grandmother who wants to be something other than grandma. I think Vivian is elegant and Georgia is simply trying too hard. |
+3 Know kids with both names; many, many more are named Vivian. None of the kids with either name go by nicknames. |
| I know about 5 Georgia’s from 10-18. I know 1 Vivian who is a teenager and one who is a preteen. Both are nice names. |

How about Virginia?
Ginny as a NN. |
|
Like them both- I tossed both out there when deciding DD name, husband rejected them both
If Georgia- I love Georgie as a nickname. So cute for a girl. I know one Georgia in my daughter’s class. I like the spelling Vivien. |

Georgia.
I've seen the name "Vivian" come up on this board a lot and the general consensus is DCUM loves it. I just don't. I think it sounds like it's trying to hard. |
+1 agreed with all of this, even though it makes me feel mean because I have a cousin with a little Vivi. |

VIvien is Angelina Jolie's kid. In my book, it's tacky if people think you named your child after a celebrity, celebrity baby, etc.
Therefore I would go with Georgia. I only know one Georgia and she's an academic, so definitely not a celebrity! |
I can't imagine knowing the names of Angelina Jolie's children, much less caring if you share it. |

Vivian is becoming the “Jackson” from 5 years ado in terms of popularity. Entirely too played out.
I know 3 Georgias with the nickname Gigi. All are under 2. |
Np. You don’t have to know that one of Angelina Jolie’s kids are named Vivian. But if you are interested in why, all of a sudden, everyone loves the name Vivian that has something to do with it. Just like how after Julia Roberts maned her dd Hazel that name became popular. We don’t all, all of a sudden, start liking a name. Jackson didn’t happen because thousands of moms just happened to all think it was a good name out of the blue at the same time. We are more influenced by media than we all think. |
