| Mom! Get off DCUM! We've already had this discussion. I get you aren't comfortable with it and are disgusted by piercings. You don't need to understand and what you think is irrelevant. It's not your business why people make the choices they do and I'm tired of hearing you opine on it. MYOB. |
The puss piercing would really freak these people out. |
|
I mean... you're not these people's target audience, you know? Lots of young men and women find piercings and tattoos very attractive. That's why so many people have them.
Different people find different things appealing (shocking, right?) For instance, nearly every single day people post the ugliest, frumpiest shoes on this forum (AGL flats, for example) and then others comment and say how cute those are. I think they are horrible grandma shoes but clearly others think they look good. I just skip those posts. To each his own! |
Kiddos, it's a free world. You're free to get a septum piercing. We oldies are free to make fun of you
|
HAHAHA I didn't notice that when I posted it!!! OK that is so funny... well either really would not smell/taste good. I meant to type PUS. I conduct hearing testing and all day long women remove their earrings and you can smell the pus from a couple feet away as I am readying the equipment. So having that in my nose full time would just be horrific. |
| Is 35 young? |
| For the same reason, you continue to dye your hair that awful shade of blonde that doesn't compliment your skin tone at all. |
LOL, I have NO idea what you are talking about....pus? I don't have pus in any of my piercings, including my septum and my 0 gauges, and they don't smell. I have a crazy intense sense of smell, like I can actually sniff out a mouse nest and have no idea what you are talking about. |
It's not pus but I know exactly the smell she is talking about. I think it's some people's skin reaction to the metals. I've never smelled it from afar though! I would have to sniff my own jewelry to smell it. I don't leave earrings in any longer but I used to and know the smell |
PP here with the septum ring & gauges, that actually makes sense. I don't wear anything in my piercings that isn't surgical steel, titanium, wood or buffalo horn. I can also only wear stainless steel or gold for rings and necklaces because I have a reaction to other metals and my skin turns blackish. Maybe that's why mine don't smell and I never noticed it with my many friends who also have piercings, since people who are into piercings most always wear surgical steel, etc. and not cheaper metals that have nickel, etc. |
