I think she was the genesis of the manic pixie chick. Kristen Dunst comes close but she has had grittier roles which Zooey I think has never been serious.

Helen Hunt won an Oscar, was nominated a second time, and won a bunch of Golden Globes and Emmy awards. Sarah Paulson has won at least one Golden Globe and Emmy. Zooey D. is not at the same level of fame or acting ability as those two. The closest she is going to get to an Oscar is her father being nominated earlier this year.

I was talking name recognition not esteem level. Most people would not know who Sarah Paulson was IMO.

+1. It has joined the pile that is watched every year, I don't know how else one would qualify for that title. Other members of the club, so you can judge my overall taste include:

- It's a Wonderful Life
- Charlie Brown Christmas
- Home Alone
- The Santa Clause (I was a child of divorce when it came out)
- Christmas Vacation
- A Miracle on 24th St.
- A Muppet Christmas Carol (any carol will do)
- Love Actually

honorable mention to Gremlins!

I'm not a big fan of A Christmas Story myself but would of course include it in the canon.

I read somewhere recently that the Property Brothers bring in something like $300-400 MILLION a year in revenue. I don't see how that could be -- do they have product lines?

Even if they make $10 million a year each, that's still a lot more than I imagine Zoey makes.
