I think people mistake her for her sister and that's why she's a little higher in the celebrity world.

However, I do agree that the Property Brothers are A list ON HGTV and maybe C+ list on regular Hollywood rotations.

Zooey's somewhere around a B- overall.

What? Zooey is a bigger celebrity than Emily. ED was on Bones but what else has she really done? ZD had a major successful sitcom and has been in tons of movies. I think of her as a much more 'famous' person. Not necessarily better or worse but IMO way more people know her than know either property brother or ED. From Elf alone!

While PB are probably C list celebrities they are not embarassing celebrities. It isn't like dating a real housewife or someone who was on Real World or something. They have a small well respected successful television show on cable and they are never in the news for embarrassing crap. While definitely a mismatched fame level I don't think it is that mismatched a respectability level.

I'd call Zooey firmly B list, she isn't Julia Roberts or Brad Pitt or George Clooney or JLaw sure but she's also a solid like, known person who has been in known movies in a prominent role. Far more famous than character actresses like Judy Greer. I'd put her at like, Sarah Paulson/Helen Hunt territory. Totally known just not like, Oscar caliber superstar.

+1. Main character on New Girl. Female love interest in the classic Christmas movie Elf. Somewhat famous for being a meme of the manic pixie chick (?). Helen Hunt won an Oscar, was nominated a second time, and won a bunch of Golden Globes and Emmy awards. Sarah Paulson has won at least one Golden Globe and Emmy. Zooey D. is not at the same level of fame or acting ability as those two. The closest she is going to get to an Oscar is her father being nominated earlier this year.
