Isn't this the same man who was looking to make a quick buck off his daughter? Tabloids would pay crazy prices for baby pictures. Meghan is right to keep a distance.

+1 This is the point most PPs are missing. The couple can want to fly commercial or whatever, but that does not mean that the royal security service will let that happen. And before someone jumps in to say that royals can tell the security service what to do rather than the other way around--nope. |
But William, Kate and their kids can? |
She doesn’t go anywhere without security, so what difference does it make? Prince William and Kate regularly go on commercial flights, even when going abroad for engagements. Even if you buy out all the first class tickets on a flight, it wouldn’t cost as much as a private flight. Furthermore, this isn’t about just money - she claims to be an environmentalist! Her carbon footprint in 1 day probably exceeds most people’s over a year. Ridiculous. |
This. +1,000,000 |
Because he is a working royal who draws a salary thanks to the people of the U.K. |
Lolz. You really are a dummy. They all do this. William and Kate just flew private for their mustique vacay. And when they flew commercial after Harry and Meghan got widely criticized (which anyone would do) the airline literally flew an empty plane as a result. https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2019/08/24/flybe-sent-empty-plane-william-kate-travel-economy-10625866/amp/ None of these people are making any sacrifices for the environment. |

Why is the UK or really the UK press suddenly so up in arms about the environment? With Boris, Brexit and Randy Andy running around, suddenly it's shame on the Sussexes and god save the environment!! Also what is their angst over tax dollars or really tax dollar because about $1 per person is what goes to the royal family and mostly covers security costs, which means security people have jobs.
No one or few seem to talk about the sovreign grant (which actually paid the Sussexes renovations) and they forget to mention the royals also pay taxes, A LOT of taxes. No, they didn't always, but they have for the past 30 years or so.
Not true. They can leave. Them buying an LA house is a tabloid rumor that first popped up when they announced their engagement. Time will tell if it is true, but Princess Madeline of Sweden is 7th in line to the throne and moved to the US. last year. https://www.harpersbazaar.com/celebrity/latest/a22627785/princess-madeleine-swedish-royals-moving-united-states/ Princess Madeleine of Sweden, the youngest daughter of the country's king and queen, is moving to the United States with her husband, Christopher O'Neill, and their three kids, Princess Leonore, 4, Prince Nicolas, 3, and Princess Adrienne, 4 months. The family of five will relocate to Florida this fall, Sweden's royal court announced today. "The time and opportunity for the United States is good for the family when the children are still in pre-school age," a statement read. There was no mention of an immigration status or a reason why the royals chose Florida, although they reportedly have a summer home in the state, per People. Moving across the Atlantic won't keep Princess Madeleine (who's seventh in line for the Swedish crown) from her work with children's rights. She'll continue working with the Wold Childhood Foundation and will be "able to focus more on the activities" in the U.S., according to the Swedish court. O'Neill, who has previously worked in the states, will continue his business in Europe following the move. In recent years, Princess Madeleine and her family have been living in London, but returned to Stockholm for the birth of their daughter Adrienne on March 9. She's previously lived in the U.S.; moving to New York in 2010 when she started working as a projects manager for the World Childhood Foundation, People reports. |
Um, to do their "commercial plane ride", there were extra empty planes sent to pick up Will and Kate. I'm not defending the environmental benefits of private air travel, but royal security is such that it's not always possible to fly commercial. https://metro.co.uk/2019/08/24/flybe-sent-empty-plane-william-kate-travel-economy-10625866/

Her dad has proven he's awful over and over again-he just wants to sell access to Meghan. |
That was not a private flight. But either way, neither Prince William or Kate lecture us about climate change. Flybe supposedly sending an empty plane was a corporate decision, and not something demanded by William or Kate. Nice try though. |
Just bolding the word supposedly, since you seem not to have absorbed it. You don't know who made the decision to fly 2 empty planes as part of the Will and Kate commercial flight. Nice try though. |
English isn’t my first language. Being a grammar Nazi doesn’t prove your point. We get it - you’re okay with hypocrisy and worship these celebrities. |
Well, if the shoe fits princess ... he is right. Sadly. |
I'm not pointing out your issues with grammar, but rather with basic literacy. "supposedly" means you think a decision was made for a certain reason, but you certainly don't know. no one is "worshipping" these celebrities but rather pointing our your logical inconsistencies, but if that's the best defense you have , go for it. |
