Well la dee da to your girls. Vans are NOT cheap. Do you seriously think $50 shoes are cheap? Are you super wealthy? I say who cares what your snotty daughters and friends think!

NP Compared to the $120+ Kyrie 5 and Jordans the middle school boys all wear, yes.

Girls have a lot more pairs of shoes than boys. My son wears one pair until they wear out. My daughter has at least 5 pairs of shoes So glad they are cheaper

They have outlet shoes where same shoes are cheaper. Or you can find them at DSW and use coupons.

I let my tween talk me into buying her some expensive Jordan's she now won't wear. Going to find way to return them Or sell them and stick with vans.

My middle school DD did not want Vans but I do see many wearing them.

My 6th grade DD has worn Adidas, Nike, and Converse sneakers in past year. Her friends have Vans, other name brands, and no name brands. Sneaker brands do not seem to matter to them.

Leesburg outlets have a vans store - also converse and new balance and asics.

My 6th grade daughters new school shoes are Nike Air Force One. My sister bought them for her - I’m kind of more of a $60 max shoe person, but my sis has no kids and likes to spend money. Lol. She also has birks and adidas slides for non PE days.

Many of her friends wear slip one vans or checkered with ties. That just isn’t her style. I’ve been told those heinous white Filas from the late 90s are also back.
