We use AirBnb or VBRO - we tend to stay on the "quiet side of the island" as Bar Harbor is fun but whoa...crowded. Love Acadia but it takes some vacation management. Get up and hike early so you can get parking!

We prefer the quiet side too, especially with little kids. We've really like the Seawall campground.
