Funny thing, they had a DA Girls thread at the top with a links to the article and schedules.

AND, complaining by whoever is posting there.

Info on this site is in the OP. Link to the schedules for discussion. Instead, we get the naysayers and negative Nancy's out of the woodwork whose DC didn't make a DA roster so they "don't care" and all information related to DA is "a strokefest".

Sad, really!

Read what you just wrote

"Whose DC didnt male a DA roster so they "dont care".

You are king stroke

Put your glasses on and re-read!

If I'm the King, you must be the Queen!

Yes, information is a strokefest.

Bitter much?

There is zero information of these threads. ZERO.

It's all crap talking. Adults living vicariously through the reputation of their kids club.

I suggest you read the Socal forum if you want see how a soccer thread should look like.

Real

Well considering the DA Girls Cup only has one club in the top bracket there really is nothing to discuss which is why the thread is being called a stroke fest. Go and talk with your sideline about it. The schedule is out. I don't really know what you want to talk about.

If you want to talk about how FCV will do, well their general performance in the playoffs are any indication, half the FCV teams will not escape their own group stage. FCV does fine in a weak conference but they struggle to win against other conference top teams.

The teams in stronger conferences face real competition on a regular basis. FCV dominates a very weak DA conference so they have to adjust when they face strong teams. It is one thing to beat Arlington or MU/Spirit into submission, it's another thing to go against real powerhouses.

So your solution is to bash FCV for being the best option in the area? Or that FCV families should leave and join Loudoun or one of the other weak ECNL teams? Do you not realize how stupid that sounds?

And here we go again.

On all those other boards, people are inquisitive about other clubs, not critical.

Here, we beat and bash a club or clubs if they do well, or for their coaches style, or parents, or location, etc.

I think all folks are saying is don’t expect great results in the DA Cup. That isn’t bashing FCV just stating facts regarding the reality of our diluted region. This isn’t five years ago anymore.

“Loudoun or one of the other weak ecnl teams.” Spoken like a true FCV parent.

It was previously stated that HALF of FCV’s teams would not escape group stage. That is a fair estimate. And half probably is “just fine”. But it does paint a stark contrast between FCV’s Conference success vs out of conference.

Only 8 teams make it out of their group at finals. Does that mean there are only 8 quality teams in the country at each age group?

And those saying clubs aren't bashed are intentionally blind - this board is all about bashing.

The DA cup is make believe. A national playoff system with tiers already exists.

With the introduction of the DA cup (taking top clubs not teams), USSF has introduced a two tier system for GDA.

It is certainly creating a tournament that will yield mixed results, which is why only up to half of FCV's teams will escape the group stage.

I think you need to read the cup rules.

ALL 24 teams in the top tier make it to the knockout stage. Tier 2 only takes the winner of each group.

So all FCV teams will make it to the next stage. Whether they are a 1 seed or 24 seed remains to be seen. By the soccer guru's on this board, half will be at the bottom, the other half somewhere higher.

I think the 05 Team will win the group. The 04 team will do well, but drop 1. The 03 team will be somewhere in the middle with a 1-1-1 type record and finally the oldest group will win their group.
