what happened to Muuna cottage cheese??

I agree with all here that Muuna was best, hands down. Good Culture is OK, better than Breakstone, but no comparison to Muuna. I've been searching all around the internet to determine why it's no longer available. Thanks for the info. Now I can stop looking for it each time I go to the store, just hoping it will be back.

I’m in PA and cannot find it anywhere! It just disappeared. Searched the net and could not find out why. It was the best ever!

North Carolina here. Good Culture is the second-best I've found, but it's NOTHING compared to Muuna. I've had some bad-textured batches of Good Culture, but Muuna was always perfect. I miss Muuna so much.

I too love in NH and no luck finding it anymore. Muuna was the best - none others I've tried make the cut. ?

It is Israeli cottage cheese. If you have a local Israeli or Kosher store, they should carry cottage cheese that will taste similar.

This is terrible news. Randall’s was the only store in Houston, TX that sold Muuna and I went to buy some today and couldn’t find it. Then I looked online and found this thread. What the hell?! So I’ll never have Muuna again?! They’ve broken up with us?! I needed cottage cheese for my breakfast so I bough Lucerna it was kinda sour but creamy enough. I mixed it with lots of blueberries and it made the sour taste go away. Nothing compares to Muuna. I’ve tried them all. Muuna had this mild creamy taste like no other.

I also live in NH and discovered Muuna cottage cheese. I have eaten cottage cheese all my life and NEVER had tasted any that can compare to Muuna. Does anyone know why they went out of business? About a year ago I searched stores in other states hoping to find some. There was none to be found. I can't figure out why such a delicious product would suddenly not be made anymore. Will they ever start production up again?

The parent company was purchased by a Chinese firm.

There has not been dairy in the mainstream Chinese diet for centuries — no butter, no milk, no cheese, nothing. Ninety percent of the population is said to be lactose intolerant.J

So they shut down the cottage cheese product line

Do you know the secret recipe? Can you go into business yourself with it?

It is based on Israeli cottage cheese recipes, so if you can get israeli tnuva cottage cheese if visiting there or at a specialty store locally, it will taste the same
