OP I read your post and not the rest of the thread, but get yourself some support. It is okay to worry and to feel sad. Look for group therapy or private, if you can afford.

OP here--our PDDNOS diagnosis was from NIMH (a free, but very thorough, evaluation--more thorough than we'd gotten from DC's EI just 3 months before). T he most recent evaluation used ADOS aside from the IQ tests (I think it's the standard for testing whether someone is autistic but doesn't tell you how severe it is) and my son scored pretty high--12 out of 16, I think, where the minimum score to be considered autistic is 8. |
