Asked my DH who is a ped. He said there are even some indications for which that sort of cream might be prescribed to a 13 month old and a few discrete unnecessary uses would cause zero problem. |
This is why I spend as little time with MIL as possible. Know-it-all, trained as a (not-ped) nurse 4 decades ago, unless you do it her way, you're ruining your child. No, thanks. |
OP, having the cream on your child is not as big a deal as you are making it. My child had eczema as an infant/toddler and we had to use steroid cream with bad flare ups per the ped. What is a big deal is the HUGE BOUNDRY your MIL has overstepped. You need to put a stop to this now (or rather your DH does--as it's his mother). |
