I also say this as someone who kind of likes her and has sympathy.

She's got inherited mental illness and no stable group of people to help her manage it. Because she's not very bright and has been in the spotlight / performing since she was a young child, she's incapable of functioning as an adult.

She's like a show pony that just gives up. And the difference between her and someone like Timberlake is a) stability of family - his mom has been by his side since he has a kid and he had a string of monogamous relationships before he got married and b) general intelligence, both personally and management-wise.

There is a greater incidence of mental illness in highly creative people. The two can be strongly linked. Creativity represents an outlet for emotional pain, and the mental instability can also help intensify creative genius. These are people who were never going to do well in a 9-5 desk job!

Please don't say that this particular artist is not bright. Intelligence comes in many forms, and if she's mentally ill, it's not fair to judge her on what you see on video.

Yeah I have a hard time believing she was ever worth anywhere near $650 million. Entertainers worth that much have side ventures other than performing and endorsements. I can't recall her doing/owning anything outside of a few perfumes.
