The majority of women having babies right now are ~Millennials~ so if she wants to insult an entire generation I suggest she take it somewhere besides a board of mostly, you know, millennials. I don't head over to the old lady boards and complain about boomers ruining this country. |
| Both, duh |
| I don't get the appeal of a babymoon but maybe I was more uncomfortable during pregnancy than others. I opted for a week away with DH when DD1 turned 1yo. I could eat what I wanted, drink when I wanted, travel where I wanted, and do what I wanted. Traveling when pregnant would not have been enjoyable for me, nor relaxing. In short, go for the push present and take a nice vacation as a reward for parenting for a year. |
Yes! So attention grabby and ridiculous. |
NP here. We did both. I enjoyed travelling while pregnant. |
+1 She must have gotten lost on her way to Baby Center. |
| Take the money you'd spend on either and put it into a 529 for the child. |
You are ridiculous. OP is obviously 26 and a half. |
| I am 31 and had no idea what a push present or baby moon is. Kind of ridiculous OP is stressing about this. I would much rather go on vacation after the baby arrives. |
| The "push present" is your healthy baby. Obviously. |
|
Both. A romantic, relaxing getaway to a luxurious resort and glittering jewels to wear during the actual birth.
I also believe that grandparents should offer to watch the baby so we can get away as a couple once I'm recovered enough to travel again. It's important to invest time in each other and into your marriage. |
I'm practical to a fault and would prefer to see that money go towards our child's college fund. Boring, I know. |
Hahahaha you won’t be going anywhere after the baby arrives. At least not for awhile. |
As someone who is sending a child to college this year, I cannot stress HOW IMPORTANT it is to start saving for that immediately. |
| Some are able to save for college and afford a few luxuries for themselves, be it a baby moon or push present. |
