They don't even know about this rumor. I doubt they read this forum.

There's no reason to think this will happen. Especially given the track record of rumors here.

No credibility.

Any person who is not a troll on this board should be laughing right now. I know I am.

You’d be surprised how many read this forum.

Still the lack of information already has their talent (as few of them as there are) looking around, even going to Ecnl tryouts. Because let’s be honest, DA hasn’t been keeping its word on a few things. Unless you count year round league games. So Spirit should probably hurry up and lay all their cards on the table.

Spirit parents have contacted the coaches and know that this isn't the case. So, I have to ask, given your concern, where does your kid play? Clearly at your level of concern and the number of posts on this you would have contacted Tom already and gotten a response from an actual source instead of an anonymous forum, so you must not be with Spirit.

Is this the go to when someone from your club expresses concern over a lack of communication. Or are you just happy with the DA patch and willing to swallow whatever the coaches said? Didn’t they tell their 05 team Lisa Cole would be their coach for the year? Or tell kids they’d have to work to earn playing time beyond requirements set forth by DA? Because if I’m honest, those families, the families who just want the patch are the biggest problem with Spirit, DA, ECNL, youth soccer. People want a patch so bad they pay anything for their kid. It brings down the quality and drives up the costs.

Now, tell me where my kid plays.

If you are with Spirit you can simply ask the coaches and they will tell you your bogus rumor isn’t true. Question answered. Being spiteful over something like Lisa Cole, who had a hell 2+ hr commute to practices and games or roster sizes that the coaches have addressed as being cut this upcoming season is not mature behavior. Of course you’ve been campaigning on this for over a year, so why stop now.

There is one other troll here who has no affiliation with Spirit from past postings, so it would be good for that poster to reveal the club her DD plays for as well. And again, for concerned Spirit parents and any other club trolls, the answer to your bogus rumor question is a text, phone call, or email away. Coaches are standing by.

This is why most rational people find WSVA threads and others that get dragged through the muck completely unreliable.

It’s not that the rumor is true or not. It’s that Spirit has been less than up front and the items I mentioned, well we know those promises weren’t kept. Oh and the promise of correct roster sizes was also a lie. So rumor or no rumor people were/are looking. They have done nothing to correct those mistakes and I don’t know about you but this isn’t play money we’re all spending.

If Spirit leadership knows these rumors are going around, why not address them head on to ALL families? Why not one word about next year and tryouts despite knowing ECNL tryouts have started up? This in itself is odd behavior even if GF rumors are a hoax.

All these rumors? LOL. this is one rumor from a disgruntled person on an anonymous forum. Why should they give credibility to any of this crap. Should they respond every time someone decides to type some BS claim on this forum. Of course not.

Stop being childish.

Exactly how was Lisa Cole deciding to leave mid season a communication issue with Spirit? Do you honestly believe they brought her in knowing she would only coach through October? Your problem in that particular example is with Lisa Cole being unprofessional and not seeing her contract through.

And the other points are valid. People who have bothered to take the time and reach out to Spirit coaches are conveying what they have been told. Do you believe there other answers the coaches will give to other parents? People are not being defensive they are simply tired of repeating the same answer, the only answer, simply because you don’t believe it and are simply to lazy to reach out to the only people who know.

I’m sorry, but if you really want to know then stfu here and start badgering the coaches and front office yourself. But to sit here, and act all entitled for the “truth” without lifting a finger yourself you are just LAZY.

Rumor no rumor. Stop paying clubs that don’t maintain coaches, give out playing time just because your parents pay, don’t communicate at all. That would be childish. Yeah, I see that more as childish than keeping a talented player in that kind of situation.

Communication has been on par with any other club I’m familiar with.

Your infowars campaign has failed. Give it a rest.

I’ll make sure to come back to this post next week. LoL. I don’t pay to beg for information, I pay for a child’s development. And in this situation I don’t see how that can happen. Whether this rumor is true or not. Stop hanging onto the rumor and start looking at the entire situation. Because even if the rumor isn’t true they will have to pull a 7 foot rabbit out their butts to retain the kids they really want for next season.

^^^Yep-totally agree and are hoping to move out of this situation next year!!

Then either you’ve been with some pretty bad clubs or maybe your just not as locked in as you think.

LOL. Yes, we should believe the over-emotional 2005 parent and the outsider and their Infowars campaign. Parents will make decision based on their emphatic, emotional, and obsessive arguments.

Totally credible. LMAO.
