Totally agree. This is something that our school’s PTA is trying to tackle. It’s been very difficult. Some of it is that it’s not explained well, and some of it is that these families aren’t taking advantage of anything that the PTA/school is offering to help. And there have been a LOT of things offered. And some of the responses have been that community (is keeping their kids in a school close to home with people they regularly interact with in many overlapping areas of life) trumps the opportunity of specialty schools. There’s definitely room for improvement, but I’m not willing to say it’s 100% the fault of PGCPS. I’m not sure the best way to bridge the divide, but we’ll keep working on it. |
| The old site has now been cleared. I received a new message that says my child isn’t on any waitlist. Hopefully that means the new site for this year will be posted soon. |
Interesting.....I’m getting the same message I got yesterday. |
So am I. |
| My message changed. We are waitlist #38 for the CH TAG program. This is for 3rd grade, so I don’t know what to think of that. |
| You will get in; congratulations! |
What was your message before? |
|
Site is offline now.

Before it said not eligible for CHES TAG. I don’t know if #38 is even acceptable during a non-entry year, if this is even. Now remotely right. |
Last year CHES ran through their entire waitlist for 3rd grade and opened it up to new applicants and out of boundary students. I have heard excellent things about the program! |

I hope this is similar this year, regarding the list. Thank you. |
| What are the chances of getting in for PreK-3 Montessori at waitlist #19? How many spots are available for the PreK 3? |
Very good at Hanson. They have around 60 seats for PreK-3 Pretty good at Hoyer. They have around 40 seats for PreK-3 |
Thanks. Our boundary school is Robert Goddard. Any info on that? |
