Yikes, basically isn't that a listing of schools that are experiencing problems? Not enough people interested in lottery the first time around isn't a problem with good programs, after all. |
This is congruent with the data from last year. By the beginning of the school year they had pretty much offered everyone on the wait list for TAG 2nd and 3rd grade slots but there was a big wait list for 4 the 5th. Walker Mill also made it to the bottom their waitlists last year. Kenmoor and Greenbelt MS had the biggest TAG waitlists which is why starting a new program at Tasker was such a big deal. I expect that once Tasker's program is up and running and next year when Heather Hills students don't have the option of choosing to go to Kenmoor that the wait list situation is going to look different. |
