How bad were your kids about writing on walls?

My seemingly normal 3 year old did a couple scribbles on the wall last week. He seems attracted to scribbling on non paper items so usually he doesn't have unsupervised access but my husband left a pen out.

2 girls, never.

Never on the walls.

My youngest colored on his play tent once. He lost his drawing stuff and had to ask to use them for months.

I have 3 kids. My older two never drew on the walls, but when my youngest was 3-4 he went through a phase of drawing little pictures on the walls. I’d find them all over the house, in out of the way places, done in pencil. We got him lots of notebooks and kept them all over the house, which helped, but he eventually just grew out of it.

Both of my NT kids wrote on the walls (more than once!) - I don't think it is as rare as this thread is making it seem. I obviously discourage it, but one time the older one did it with a sharpie! (I still don't know how he got a hold of a sharpie!)

To me, this is not worth screaming one's head off over...

My now 4 year old wrote on the walls 3 times between 2 and 3. After the first time he knew it was wrong and did it to act out. Art supplies were confiscated for a while after each incident and he hasn't done it again.

I was four years old. I have 4 kids and only 1 of them has ever drawn on the wall, once.

My kids never did it intentionally, but I also remember doing it myself as a child and getting into so.much.trouble.

4 year old did it once on a window with crayon when she was 3. I freaked out and made her clean it up, which thrilled her to pieces since she loves cleaning.

My kid with SN was awful with this. He seems to have grown out of it at 12. The entire house. My NT kids did too but it was isolated.

Why what’s wrong with it? My DS when he was around 3 colored and drew on play tent and it’s still fine to play with 3 years later.
To answer OPs question never on walls although my child has colored plenty on his toys

+1

My 2 kids never drew on the walls, but I did it -once. My mother made me scrub it off and that cured me.

I remember writing some on walls and the floor when I was a young child maybe 3-4 yo.. it was an old house and my parents didn’t care either guess was the least of their issues with the house

Never.
But DS at age 2 took pink chalk from outside and wrote ABCs all over the white carpet. It really was a mess but at the same time he was really good with writing letters for that age so it was kind of ok.

Now if I could get dd12 to stop getting nail polish and remover on the dining room table...
