The Umbrella Academy - Netflix

No team unity, everyone getting in everyone else's way. Barely any high level powers (the kind you need CGI for) and there were at least 3 subplots that weakly tied together into the main plot and were just useless.

Sidebar, but I so loved Misfits.

Mary J Blige as Cha-Cha was perfectly cast andI agree with PP about Klaus and Five. The music really made it for me.

Is there any specific evidence it's supposed to take place in 2019? I don't think it is...look at the cars; all old models.

They were all born in 1989, and they are now late 20’s

The whole no one has a strong powers and no team unity is pretty key to the plot. And actually made it more interesting. All the subplots were explaining why they had all grown apart and how they got to where they were. I cannot think of any subplot that did not help explain something or was not tied to the main story. Unless you only watched a few episodes. That would explain why it seemed this way. It is a show for the patient. I do not mind when writers take awhile to tell a story.

Useless (long running) sub-plots -

Hazel and Cha-cha
Hazel and Donut Lady
Allison and her daughter
Diego and murder mystery mom

I also think a lot of the arguements and rejection of the musician was overblown.

I like TUA - I just wanted more action like the bank scene or the house fight.

Really liked it! DH and I binged it over the weekend. Klaus was our favorite, hands down. Seeing him with Ben at the end was awesome. Can't wait for Season 2!

I enjoyed season 2. Wasn't expecting to from the trailer

Remind me how Ben died? Why wasn't he brought back in the past except for in Klaus's head?

They haven’t said how he died on the show. Even the comic doesn’t say.

Well he’s a ghost. Technically none of them would be alive during that time so why would he come back alive?
