I remember it, as it wasn't just on Friends & I was starting to wonder if it was just a Jennifer Aniston thing.
Here's her SNL monologue & as you can see, same thing. https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/jennifer-aniston-monologue/n11777 |
| I feel like I read something about this back when it was airing. Why do I remember something about them wearing false ones? |
| I can’t believe anyone would actually think they added the nipples years later. I’m dying over here! |
What "years of nonsense" are you talking about? |
But that was a specific bra with a specific intent to increase size with padding. It snowballed from there to I think what was called a “T-shirt bra” or something, and then suddenly all bras of all types had some level of padding in them unless you shopped specifically for an “unlined” bra which became increasingly scarce. At least now it seems to be swinging back a bit from that extreme so that there are some unlined options or padded options where the padding is removable. To me, the padded bra trend wasn’t all that different from the pointy bras of the 50s - prefer something more natural. |
Just watched this and now I completely remember the uproar. Someone actually thinks they were added years later? ROFL |
| All this fuss about nipples. Everyone has them. |
This is hilarious! Thank you. |
| yep, always there. |
Look a couple of posts above and watch the video. There's no way she was wearing a bra the majority of the time. Her boobs aren't even supported at all. |
I agree. I noticed this during the original run and it was weird. Nobody could tell her?? |
I think she did it on purpose. |
| The first season came out my freshman year of college. A big group got together every Thursday night to watch, and the guys always commented on they called THO. |
Indeed. Whoever made that is totally Seth Rogen’s character in Knocked Up but it was still very funny. |
