Infertility Support and Discussion
| PP 18:38 here, my blood test was positive sunday and it doubled as of today, does that mean everything is ok? I have no symptoms so it's hard to believe it worked, is it weird to wish I had some morning sickness? |
|
Congratulations, 17:01! That's wonderful! I think that they want hcg levels to double every 48 hours or so. There are a lot of websites where you can plug in your levels, and they will tell you the doubling time and what it "means". Sounds good to me. Don't worry about morning sickness... I have one child (trying for another). Contrary to what we usually see on tv, morning sickness doesn't usually kick in until week 9 or so. Yes, there are some exceptions, but morning sickness is more likely to be later in the first trimester... not right when you miss your period!

Hello, I just went thru Natural IVF. My first beta was last Weds and was positive, and then Friday it almost doubled. I did not have any symptoms either and kept expecting to have morning sickness. However, I miscarried over the weekend and the beta dropped. I was pleased with the process as we did a 5 day blastocyst and assisted hatching. I am 38 and was pleased to get this far. We are going to try again. At 35, I went thru regular IVF before, had a low beta, and no sucess. This was a much better process without all the medications

| PP: I 'm so sorry you m/c that must be so hard, I have my 3rd beta tomorrow but I have had some spotting tonight. Are you going to try agian?? |
| We are going to try again with DF. Good luck with the 3rd beta! Please keep me updated. |
| 18:46 - how was your 3rd beta? From 8:21 |
| Hey it more than doubled so I'm allowing myself to get officially excited although I need another beta, and then an ultrasound to confirm everything. At what point do you really start to believe you're going to have a baby?? |
| 16:19 - I am glad to hear! Good luck! |
| PP 16:19, I have a sono next week, my beta is 2318 as of today so they tell me I don't need to test it anymore, but I have to wait a whole week to see if everything is ok. |
| PP 20:26 - I am sure everything will go fine. Enjoy the holidays! Please keep me updated. I will go thru this again in mid January so it will be nice to see what's ahead. Are you feeling symptoms now? |
| I'm so excited for sono this week, I am bouncing off the walls! |
|
13:38 - what happened with the sono? Did you see the heart beat? I am starting another natural cycle.
Form 20:49 |
| PP, sorry I forgot to update everyone, we had the sono and there was a tiny flickering HB so I'm with my regular OB now and they tell me I'm just a normal pregnant person. I miss the nurses at Dominion because the nurses at my OB office aren't as friendly, but I'm so happy it worked. |
congratulations

| I did a search about Natural cycle and found this thread...I had my first appt with Dominion Fertility and Dr Gordon and I'm hoping to do natural cycle IVF next month if all my tests are completed in time. Anyone care to walk me through the steps??? It seems pretty easy but there is one injection needed, how hard is that to do?? I'm quite phobic about needles so this aspect of treatment is causing me a lot of stress. |
