Natural Cycle IVF

PP good luck talking to any doctor at SG about NCIVF, they are adamantly against it, I'm a low responder and although I really liked my SG doctor, I had to move to Dominion Fertility.

I'm in my 2ww after my first Nat cycle IVF, any advice from those that have been there? How do you keep your mind off your uterus? I keep wondering what the little embryo is doing, implanting, still dividing.

PP as you will read on many threads here the 2ww is the hardest, but there are several suggestions for getting through it. My first cycle I did HPT and when it was negative I was so sad for a lot longer than I would have been if I just waited til the beta, so the second cycle I didn't do anything and my husband and I went on a short vacation. Unfortunately, both cycles were BFN's but the second was much easier than the first...GL to you.

If you get a + HPT on day 8 post 3dt, can it be for real??

I had a positive HPT 6 days after transfer of a 3 day embryo so I think you should be happy....there are lots of people on here that have had similar results even earlier. Congrats

I'm thinking of trying natural IVF, and I saw this thread. Is there anyone who has cycled this way? I'm 32 and have no issues that have been found, my husband has low motility and morphology. Fertility drugs really scare me because I wasn't able to tolerate the bcp, and I've heard that reactions can be similar to IF drugs.

Poster 07:02...I've done two rounds of NCIVF and they didnt work. I'm always amazed every time I hear of a NCIVF success story because I just don't get it. I am the same age as you, 32 with no health problems. My husband also has poor motility and morphology. Both rounds they were able to harvest and grow the egg to a day 5 blastocyst and still no luck. Not sure what the problem was. I've since moved on to IVF and got pregnant the first round. It really wasn't that bad taking the drugs. I was concerned like you are about my level of toleration and the effects both short term and long term. I didn't feel great while on the medications but I was able to get through it ok. I know women who have done IVF and werent given birth control pills in the beginning, maybe that would be an option for you. I would honestly keep my $4400 and use it towards IVF instead of NCIVF if you dont have insurance coverage. The success rates are low and it still is a lot to go through despite the lack of drugs. Just my opinion.

I had success with NCIVF after 3 failed IUI's so I guess there isn't always a clear cut reason why one thing works for some and not others. The difference for me was that I'm older and a low responder so high doses of medication didn't offer me an improved chance over getting one quality egg.

I just had my ET from my first round of NCIVF, and as much as I know I should avoid the HPT's I don't think I will be able to wait.

I did Nat cyc IVF and started the HPT's 8 days post 3dt so hold out as long as you can, but I totally understand the obsession with knowing.

I have a good friend who did natural cycle IVF at Dominion Fertility (in VA I think?) and it worked the first time.

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get an initial consult at dominion fertility?

I think it took just a couple weeks, not a big delay.

thanks, I emailed them last night and I already had a response this morning so I'll call them.

I got my first BFP in my first NCIVF cycle with Dominion at 8dp3dt. I'm now 24 weeks.

I am 32 and our main issue was DH's low testosterone levels and low sperm count, motility and morphology (needed ICSI for sure), and then although my initial testing looked ok, they eventually found diminished ovarian reserve with me -- so stimulated IVF wouldn't have been an option.

If you have insurance coverage of stimulated IVF, Dominion has an extra consent form where you agree to pay for the NCIVF out of pocket because the insurance doesn't cover the NCIVF.

We saw Dr. D and although my husband didn't care for him, I appreciated that he was straightforward. The nurses at Dominion are also fantastic and extremely well organized.

Good luck!
