Blue or green tile kitchen- I think its Mexican Talverna that I like -all the bold colors. One image says Tuscan.

Maybe I am not the right person to respond, because I like all those links you posted

But OP - it's YOUR house. Whatever you put in, there's someone who isn't going to like it. You can't know what will be trendy or fashionable by the time you're ready to sell. Assuming you are planning to live there for a nice long while - get what you like, get what makes you happy.

I like the wallpaper that you linked too, for a bathroom, laundry room, or small craft room.

Wallpaper and tile. Too fussy for me, day in and day out and dates too quickly... But I like vacationing in bright multicolored wallpapered and tiled spaces.

I like wall to wall carpeting in my lower level. I know I should not and have hardwoods or water-resistant flooring plus area rugs, but it’s so much warmer and easier with the carpeting. If we get water damage I will just fix the issue and replace the carpet.

I like hardwood floors, but in the bedrooms I love carpet- it’s just cozy!

Anonymous wrote:I love bold wallpaper like you linked to, OP. If I were you I’d do the less expensive cosmetic updates you like, but I wouldn’t do things like your entire kitchen in that blue tile. That’s an expensive fix if you ever want to sell the house and would really turn me off from buying it. But wallpaper? Easy fix.

This is especially true if you wallpaper an accent wall. A whole room can be overwhelming, but I would easily overlook an accent wall while house hunting.

How long are you planning to stay in your house?

If you’re planning to move in 5 years, it would be crazy to use any of those styles. If you’re planning to retire in your house then you should do whatever you like regardless of the impact on sale price. A timeline in between is a gradation of the above.

me too - love wall to wall in bedrooms and basements. currently have neither, but will probably add it to the basement soon. can't bring myself to do it for the bedrooms though because the hardwoods in there look so nice, and much better for allergies.

I did a kitchen counter in those square Mexican cobalt tiles! However, it was 1987. The backsplash was colored (not just blue and white) Delft tiles. I wouldn’t do it today if I thought I needed to sell the house anytime soon, but it was very pretty. You do what you like, OP!

White shiplap! I think it looks nice, but it's so trendy and will be out very soon.

But none of those looks go together.

i think the more classic paneling could go with the floral wallpaper, if the floral wallpaper were confined to a small powder room (but you would need to use simple vanities and fixtures (e.g. not 50s classic) or perhaps on one bedroom wall.

The kitchen is a totally different style -- and to me reads as most appropriate to a Southwestern style house like one of these. https://www.houseplans.net/southwest-house-plans/
