Being willing to have kids. I adamantly did NOT want any. Spouse did. |
Why stay? That sounds unbearable. |
Being a trailing spouse to an international corporate executive. Three countries now and one more coming up soon. No signs of returning to the US any time soon. I can't complain, we live very well, but it's not the life I envisioned, raising my family down the street from my parents and having my sister close by. I'm jealous of my sister and her family because they are within a mile of both sets of grandparents and everyone is in and out of everyone's houses.
And career too. Two Ivy degrees to end up a housewife. And a husband who's away on work trips 1/3 the time. Good thing I love him very much and he's a wonderful father too. |
Interesting. I’m a trailing spouse living overseas...though DH is not a traveling exec. I like I gave up my career for him to chase his, but moving around makes it worth it to me. Keeps me from being bored! |
Most of my dreams. DW like her mother sucks the life out of people. My goal is to raise my kids to be better. |
Is he an evangelical (gay) Christian? |
But you signed up for it anyway? And what were these dreams exactly? |
Oh, I'm hardly bitter. It has been an adventure and rewarding on different levels and we've travelled and seen and done so much. As a family unit we're quite strong. But becoming a long-term expat was a sacrifice. |
Good sex. My DW is my worst lover, but she is my wife. |
I love your attitude. |
A fourth kid!!!
I want one, he doesn't. So we stopped at three ![]() |
Man that sucks. You win for biggest sacrifice. |
And what do you think now? Are you glad you did? |
Bumper sticker I saw on a handyman’s van in bethesda: “I repair what your husband fixed” |
No cheating? Do you have a vibrator? Seems wholly unfair to you. Needs are needs. |
