Friend zoned by his post?

He’s a player

How old are you two? In your 20s?

I can’t relate to anything in this thread. Totally bizarre.

Why do you say that?

I’ve been mourning my lost youth lately, but this thread makes me feel better.

OP, if you really like him, ask him out for a friendly date and see where it goes. You don’t need to wait for him to make the first move.

It just something to say.

OP, what are you -- all in fifth grade? Sounds like none of you are capable of having adult, authentic relationships.

I wouldn’t say player per se. He does seem to really crave attention and likes to cast a wide net. Since he’s trying to garner attention from women so publicly and in front of OP he doesn’t seem interested.

He made the post when he was sitting right next to me.

And knowing you were on your phone and would see his post, to me he was telling you he wanted to dance with you.

Well he’s not a shy guy at all so I didn’t think it was for me. Well it's not that he doesn't have the balls to ask women out. I was at party with him a while back and I know he had pursued his last interest and kissed her the same night they first met. Telling her how beautiful she was, how she would be cute with short her, etc., and just showering her with compliments the first time they met so he has balls.

Then days later after he made the "I want someone to dance with comment" he posted a selfie in a suit with the caption, "I can't think of one, y'all come up with one". Just doesn't seem like the behavior of someone who is interested if they're still trying to garner attention from his 900 followers, which 90% of them are women.

I see it as the opposite. He’s around her and he’s too busy posting on social media and posting that while she’s there. It’s like a woman posting “I wish I could find a good guy” and the guy friend is sitting right there. OP said he’s not shy so he didn’t have to drop hints.

If you can’t figure this out as an adult, then you are not ready to be in a serious relationship. Put down the phone, get off social media, and live your life.

Well then you have your answer and this thread was a waste if time. BTW you both are lame.

Would it make a difference if we had slept together before?
