I’m 18 and want to date an older woman, is there something wrong with me?

Why do you want to date an older woman? And what makes you think that a woman who is old enough to be your mom and has had life experience would be interested in you?

For that matter, what do you think you would actually talk about? Or you don't have delusions of talking and just want to sleep with her?

Honestly, if you just want to sleep with her and you have a good body then I think you'd have a lot more luck with that than trying to get a "relationship". Whatever it is that kids these days think a relationship actually is. Just try one of those tinder apps. The women who are into it will be on those.

You are 18, but you are still a child in many ways. It’s OK to date women a few years older, bit more is questionable on both sides.

A big age differential in the teens and 20s is also usually a proxy for a big power and experience differential. This creates leader/follower type pairs where advantage can be taken.

FWIW, I dated a 29 y.o. when i was 18 and I regret it.

OP, I’m just curious what you think you have to offer to an older woman. What do you see her getting out of being involved with you?

I find it interesting that you told me you’re taken but also told me the specific store you shop at lol...is there a specific time or day you shop there? I’m just curious, not saying I’m gonna show up there...?

quick tip: you'll need to stop saying "lol" in your sentences if you expect to be taken even vaguely seriously by someone over the age of 30.

I am the 47 yr old brunette - it made me laugh!

I am 48 and there is no way I am dating an 18 year old who is not even legally able to drink.

The one and only cougar experience I had he was in his late 20s and I was in my early 40s. He was reallllllll easy on the eyes but not great in bed -- and didn't want to learn how to be better, felt his hard body and hard...other things were enough -- and had done nothing and been nowhere and was not very interested in the greater world around him so that didn't last but a minute. I don't advise it. He was a realllllllly nice looking, though.

are you serious? Honestly thought everyone used lol. Anyways my friends mom is throwing a Hanukkah party 2ma that I’m invited to, will probably be a plethora of older women piled in like a colosseum.

I genuinely can’t tell whether you’re being serious or not. Guess that’s a pretty sad reflection on the youth of today.
how is it a sad reflection?

I feel trapped by Giant even though I know they are going to disappoint me.

I'm 48 and married and can never tell if all young men are on the spectrum or if they have no idea how to communicate.

If I were single the only way I'd date someone that young was if he was an NFL player. Otherwise, they're probably broke and skinny and inexperienced in bed.

I think your last sentence is exactly the reason for this thread. I think he’s heard that “cougars” have no standards so he has a chance.

When I was 16, oh so many years ago (too many), I had a ONS with an older (mid 30's) woman. I was not looking for anyone, just out on a bike ride when I had a problem with my bicycle. She and her friend helped me, in more ways than one.

But, I can not imagine what she got out of it other than physical satisfaction (I can not believe I was good, but I was willing to learn) and maybe a power trip. And I had stamina (no refractory period)

Her friend (also female) watched. One time only.

Fairly normal desire for a male of your age. I suggest you use an app, unless you know someone already who is interested. Don't tell Her you're 18. Say you're 23. 18 sounds too young for most to consider dating you.m and to be honest, you won't be dating an older woman. It will most likely just be sex. Unless you have the funds to go on trips, dinners, movies, etc.
