They already effectively do have two different menus because every day has a vegetarian option as well as a meat-based option (which also provides an alternative for those who don't eat beef). But that aside, you're talking about a preference as opposed to a religious mandate. Just because culturally someone might prefer pork doesn't mean they can't eat something else.

Chinese are always being screwed, Chinese don't have any religious holidays technically, but their Chinese New Year is just as important as any religious holiday, but CNY will never be recognized on APS calendar.

They should just cut out meat altogether.

All meats are unhealthy, pork is actually better than beef.

Not true. Food poisoning is much more likely to be caused by vegetables.

Yep. And it used to be banned by major religions because pigs themselves spread disease to humans. The meat wasn't the issue, it was more about raising pigs.

Did ou know that it is not mandatory for your kid to eat the school lunch? She can bring her own.

Also, did you know that APS has not banned pork products? Staggering, I know.

Happy to provide this PSA to the chronic dumbasses among us.

DP-
Did you know that the above poster said literally NOTHING about their kid eating school lunch, and that you are an insufferable a hole, lacking basic reading comprehension skills, and projecting nonsense on DCUM?
Happy to provide this PSA to a holes like you.

I would guess it is a food quality issue. Pork doesn't have the same quality grading system other foods do and isn't eaten in homes as much as a hot meal (not talking lunch meat).

I agree. I grew up in rural Minnesota where I could count the number of non-Christian kids on my hand. My school didn't serve pork products except for the occasional hot dog...which I think are now considered choking hazards.

Pork is a huge part of Chinese cuisine. Chinese need to start advocating for themselves if they want Moon festival and Cny on the calendar.

While I do agreed that the chinese are screwed, it would need to be religious to get it on the calendar. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year and it gets on the calendar because it's more religious vs country oriented. Start celebrating it religiously?

Chinese new year is more than just red envelopes and the TV special. Thats like saying Christmas is just santa claus and watching its a wonderful life.

If enough Chinese don't show up for school, I would expect that it might be added to the calendar.

Strange comment. If you’re family is vegetarian, it shouldn’t matter one way or another whether APS serves pork.

There's no pepperoni pizza in APS?
