What crimes? Has he personally been charged?

No, but only because he’s the President.

I personally can’t wait for President Pence.

I don’t care. I want trump gone. Pence will be truly a lame duck. No one is going to waste political capital on him.

He will go on an official trip to Russia and ask for and get asylum and never come back. Will build a trump hotel there and live happily ever after but not for long.

By US Marshalls, I hope, to jail.

Oh yes, this would be a dream come true. Or at least an end to a 2yr nightmare. But he won’t r lly leave office, do you think?

He will bargain a pardon in exchange for his resignation in the name of avoiding the specter of impeachment and trauma to the country. Before that will happen, Mueller (continuing investigation) and newly elected Democratic majority in the House (many serious and substantive hearings - not TV grandstanding) will have to do some serious work and the GOP majority in the Senate should have no opportunity to ignore or dither for election time and threaten to impeach Trump for their own political survival.

Will all this happen in the calendar year of 2019?

I do not get the sense that his crimes are so small that this will be an option for the orange bloat.

His closest legal adviser Giuliani believes and has stated that, in an emergency, an elected executive may remain in office until the emergency is resolved, in the judgment of that executive. There will be an emergency, by their measure. What is being teed up is his permanent presidency, to be followed when he dies by a Pence permanent remainder.

This. Will the Rs in the Senate hold him accountable? No. Will he be indicted in office? No. Will he resign? Why would anyone even THINK that after what we've seen? Throwing in the towel doesn't feed his image. Will he die? Really unlikely.

he's a narcissist. I know narcissists--one raised me. They don't back down.

He will create a war or terrorist attack or something god awful to draw attention away from his crime. Blame someone else, continue to try to be a hero/come out on top. He will be supported by the idiots in the Senate. There's no one with a brain around him to stop him. We are screwed.

Other children of NPD parents have said that when the narcissist feels that shame is overwhelming the adulation he perceives he is entitled to, he’ll bail. Personally I think he’d be gone we’re it not for a) continuing pressure from Putin to stay in office and b) the possible protection from indictment he gets from the office.

John Dean, Republican of Watergate game thinks what has come out already is enough for Impeachment.

Although the Democratic controlled House and the GOP Senate might not want to go there, the evidence may give Congress no alternative. A GOP Senate will get it when they must support a POTUS who is in league with Russia and who has engaged in unparalleled levels of corruption.

I thought this was like the game F, marry or kill.
I think he’d F’ Don Jr. Marry Ivanka and kill Mueller.

Second term, sadly...

Only with the help of the complicit GOP and the Russians. They cannot win without corruption and cheating.

Who's going to stop them?

One of them, the Russians, is only a force in your head. The GOP can be stopped, but first the Democrats need to molt their current skin of cynical profiteering and instead become a committed opposition party. Or the Democrats could just disappear and some other group could finish off the GOP.

If someone could spin his resignation as a stick in the eye to the Republicans (eg, January 20th), he may buy it.
