I was talking with someone who's involved with the legislative process, and she said the impetus for the bill is the increasing number of people working from home. Basically all of DC's noise regulations assume that it's OK to make as much noise as you want during the day when "everyone" is at work. Not so much anymore. |
| Gas, electric, they’re both noisy and annoying. Ban them both. |
|
"My favorite is the claims that they should be disallowed because they are not environmentally friendly...from the same neighbors that take multiple intercontinental flights a year."
silly, PP! Don't you know that flying doesn't "count" in terms of GHG emissions! How in the world would people get around otherwise!

| Come 2022, I'm gonna idle my lawn mower an extra 10 minutes for my fallen leaf blower buddies. |
The "rolling coal" of landscaping. |
Doesn't pepco rely on fossil fuels to produce DC electricity? |
Liberals suck! But hey, you voted for these fools. Lol. |
this This THIS!!!!!! makes no difference if it’s gas powered or electric. They BOTH pollute, either right there where they’re being used, or at the power plant where the electricity is made. Either way it’s pollution. Also, both are noisy. One goes “whurrrrrrrrrrrrr” and the other goes “whirrrrrrrr”, and both are irritating AF. They need to ban both kinds. Whatever happened to just raking leaves? If you can’t rake them yourself, pay someone to. There’s lots of kids in this city without a job. If people would hire them to rake leaves (because they had to, since blowers were banned) it would introduce an economic incentive. BAN THEM ALL!!!! |
You are a troll...right... |
