A few days after that I found an item in the sofa and nobody who'd been there (I asked them all) claimed it wasn't theirs. It was obviously not new, it was something that a parent would give their child and say, this was mine when I was a kid.

I still have it.

Raggedy Ann? Rubik's Cube?

Raggedy Ann? Rubik's Cube?

It was an engraved pen knife.

Probably one of the workers who reupholstered your sofa dropped it in the couch by mistake.

If it looks like a keepsake you should call and ask if anyone is missing a pocket knife. If they can give you the correct initials, you'll know that you found the true owner.

Uh, yeah. Newly reupholstered sofa it's obvi it was a worker's. It's no mystery. Shame on you for not contacting the company immediately.

Sitter asked me if I had a new girlfriend and if so, she was concerned (I am recently separated ).

I can only think she planted it there as a conversation opener.

It was the Ghost of Sephoras Past.

Ahhh, tell your sitter to mind her own business.

You are male, do not live with a woman and change your sofa cushions over to Christmas theme? That’s unusual.

This one doesn’t pass the smell test.

Though I love Prada Candy.

OP here and I am creeped out that the sitter thought to do that. I haven't asked her and she hasn't admitted to it but it's weird behavior and very creepy too if that is the case.

I am truly weirded out.
It was a Prada Candy perfume in a sample, spray size bottle.

I got this in an ulta sample package with my order. My three year old daughter thinks the package is pretty and loves playing with it. I bet she’s the culprit!

So sitter found the perfume? Or you did?

Does she babysit your daughter at your STBX's house too?

Your partner is having an affair. The perfume was a gift from them to her.
