Have you discussed your future together? If you’ve been dating a few months and he did this I’d say laugh it off. But a year? If he doesn’t want to marry you or not propose soonish I’d tell him you need space and start dating other people. That’ll wipe those jokes right out of his mind and he’ll either wisen up and straighten out or laugh his ass off straight into someone else.
