Have you been in a studio audience?

I saw the Tonight Show a few years ago when Leno still hosted it. They had a "fluffer" (amateur comedian) who came out before the show and during breaks to hype people up. You couldn't help but get excited during the show -- they really built up the energy. I don't remember if there was an "applause" sign but it wasn't really necessary anyway.

I've also been a contestant on a reality dating show (game show format) that was filmed in front of a studio audience. That was a hoot.
