How much can you bench? |
About 30 pounds. Is that good or bad? |
It's neither good nor bad, OP, it just is. Could you bench more? Yes, if you work at it. Could you bench less? Not a whole lot less, no. Do you want to look good? Get toned. |

Just found this:
https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/bench-press/lb |
| Could definitely be chubby but probably not fat fat. I’m 5’1”, 114 and decently muscular. I am flabby but I don’t think anyone would call me fat... unless I went to Japan or Korea. |
| I'm 5'5 and 115, OP. And I am too skinny right now. I'm healthier at 120. I think 115 is about right for 5'. |
Not to me you wouldn’t. Way too fat |
| I'm about the same weight/height as you, OP. Small framed, not muscular. I'm almost 50. My middle section seems to carry most of the weight. My limbs, not so much. I can disguise it with clothes, so no one would ever say I was chubby, but I do feel a little bit overweight. About 105 would be best for me. |
I need to set you naked to give a good opinion.
|
| It’s a good weight. |
| fat? No. chubby? Depends where the weight is and what your definition of chubby is. You can be 5', 120 and be musuclar and have a great body. |
|
I went to an all girls’ high school. When I was 16 they had an eating disorder specialist talk to us at an assembly. She said “you should be 100 lbs at 5 ft and 5 lbs for each additional inch”. I played a lot of sports at the time and was probably my most fit. I was / am 5’ 2” and was 115 at the time. It was the first time in my life I felt sad / bad about my body size which I thought was ironic.
|
This is an interesting point. Do you agree that with each additional inch, a person can add 5 pounds? |
| 5'0 and 115 (down from 118) here. Chubby yes, fat no. I look much better at 110. Even a few pounds makes a visible difference at my height. |
| In what world is 115 lbs at 5 ft chubby or fat? Yikes. |
