I wouldn’t hate you if you would stop lollygagging in the left lane.

I had to observe this firsthand from a DCUM'r herself during carpool before I was able to decipher the true meaning.

Because literally 100% of the "Maryland drivers" she'd call out in traffic, were black. Never once in weeks of riding with her did she point out a white driver with MD tags doing something stupid.

It didn't mention this too her, of course. I just nodded knowingly as if I agreed with her.

Yeah, Maryland driver is racist-speak for African American driver.

So one person you rode with was racist, doesn't make it not-true that MD drivers are effing insane. I was traveling on the left coast recently, and was almost hit (walking) by a MD driver who failed to look both ways. She was a blonde white woman, with MD plates.

Also, there's a whole Twitter account dedicated to the insanity of MD Drivers - w/ pictures of parked cars. How is one to know the race of those drivers? Just because you encountered ONE woman in a carpool who seemed pretty racist, doesn't negate the fact that MD drivers are batsh!t.

I'm biracial, you nitwit.

The only thing I'm prejudiced against, are Maryland drivers. You know it's true.

I'm a Marylander, and my toddler and I nearly got run over this morning by a (white BMW) driver talking on his phone who didn't stop at a stop sign even though we were in a cross-walk. Marylander does not equal black driver.

Edited to reflect the actual DCUM meaning of "Maryland drivers"

So how many of these jerkoffs with Maryland plates aren't actually Maryland residents and are instead just all around scumbags driving like garbage monsters, dodging taxes, and being general drags on society.

Report them via the Fairfax County tax evaders site. I do this all the time.

You're right, there are no Black people in Virginia, DC, or elsewhere--they all live in Maryland.

I moved here from California, and feel DC, MD, and VA drivers are equally bad.

Please mind your manners and do not edit what I wrote. I said Maryland drivers, not black drivers. Also, DC as I remember wasn't too far behind Maryland drivers for being the worst.

Maryland driver here who commutes into DC everyday...I observe everyone in this area as being terrible drivers but one thing that pisses me off and I routinely see are MD and VA drivers who don’t understand how to use roundabouts. They act so confused and oblivious to how a roundabout works. Merging nonchalantly into other lanes. Not going with the flow of traffic.

the absolute worst....MD drivers + minivan. FML

Anecdotally, I was driving on a highway in Kentucky over the summer and was cut off by someone going 90+ mph in a big pickup truck. What plates? Maryland, of course.

PP here and I'm in the City of Alexandria. I've tried reporting people to the city RADAR program (I'll be honest, I only reported some of the worst of my neighbors because I really do hate a couple of them) but the city doesn't care.
