"I personally think that..."

Is there another way to think?

I myself don't have a problem with this because it is literally butchering 'in my personal opinion' so at least it's "Forgivable."

Love it. A little "Where's Waldo" of gramatical peeves.

I already hate this expression as it it, but the other day I heard this one that made me wanna poke my ears with Lady Gaga's disco stick:

"I haven't seen your wallet anywhere. And I literally had my eyes peeled all week looking for it."

Ouch.

"It was a very unique ceremony."

Shouldn't that be "MY" pet peeve? I go nuts when people says "it's mineS", with an S.

Why do people do this? I was reading high chair reviews on Babies R Us and came across this one:

"It's nice to know food cant get caught anywhere To Sour & Mold. It comes with Two Trays so I keep one in the Dishwasher. My little one loves it also. .. Big Sis Rolls Her Thru The House & She Can See All Around. The only negatives I have are that Some Foods leave faint stains on the Plastic & Seat Cover."

It cracks me up and drives me crazy all at the same time, especially the line about Big Sis, and To Sour & Mold.

But really, I don't get it. What is it about some words that compel people to hit the shift key?

Yeah, and I know I'm petty and there are more important things in life to worry about, blah blah blah.

Shouldn't subject lines be all caps as they are titles?

No way is the random caps software related. People are just dumb.

I literally go ape-shit when my toddler says that.

In theory, yes. But on DCUM people don't and, well, when in Rome... Otherwise you run into the problem like the person that posted the thread "Any Stern Teachers at the Big 3" ran into. Everyone first thought that "Stern" or "Stern Teachers" was something proper like Reggio Emilia, as opposed to just stern as in strict.

My toddler says "mine-t" but she really means "mines". Also drives me crazy.
