What exactly is that difference? What does that piece of paper do? Because from what I’ve read on this board it doesn’t mean jack sh*t about being happy, fulfilled, and in love. Which two people may be without a big party and a chocolate fountain and a white dress. |

I did not want a long engagement because I didn't want to talk non-stop about the wedding for that long. Got engaged in January and married in August. In DC. It was not THAT hard. But yes I was flexible about vendors and locations. I just wanted to get married with a fun party and was not really interested in having the "picture perfect day".
I think once an engagement hits the year mark and there is no wedding date set or active wedding planning happening, they are most likely going to break up. Which is usually a good thing. |
