The point is, its not a soccer ranking app. It's a scoreboard ranking app |
So? There is still value to a scoreboard ranking app. Most people understand what it is and what it isn’t. Scoreboard rankings are widely used in sports at all levels. |
Maybe focus on how the game is being taught, learned and applied by the kids for quality Than the chubby kid letting in 6 goals every match because no one else wanted to be goalie and calling that team weak |
Arlington not in the top 25 ECNL clubs for either gender but thanks, Arlington boys dad. |
Oh for goodness sake. If you don't want to look at the "scoreboard app" then don't look at it. Look, for all of time, people wanted to know who was the best and in large part, that has always been decided on who is winning as decided by how that sport is judged. In pretty much all sports, you are talking about out scoring your opponent. It's not decided on who connected the most passes, or has the most possession or who wins the most 50/5t0 balls. Are those things important in the overall development of players, sure, I'll admit that, but that's not what "rankings" are all about. And the comment about the goalie is just pretty weak. I'm not sure what level that your kids are playing, but by the time that teams are U13 and above they are having kids that want to play goalie and are serious about it. If teams are playing at levels when folks really start to look at "rankings" and are in ECNL, MLSN, etc, there is a serious goalie and not just the leftover kid that got stuck there. Pretty fun stuff for a thread that was started and then dead since 2018! |

I can only rank the 2017 teams in MoCo/DC. I have seen all of these teams playing and plenty more. I’m just not ranking the teams that are not competitive.

You can question the ranking order, but the top clubs in the area are basically here. |
Agree Arlington is probably top. Richmond might be the best organization but several teams have better talent. SYC and VDA are too low. |
According to the Ranking App, which evaluates overall scores across U9–U19 age groups: Top 3 Boys Clubs in Virginia 1)SYC 2)Arlington 3)Richmond United Top 3 Girls Clubs in Virginia 1)Richmond United 2)Arlington 3)SYC |
My kid's U11 team was ranked very high, because we had three early developed defenders and a good goalie who was also a good basketball player and ice hockey goalie The team overall was mediocre |
Where did you find the Club Rankings part on the app? |

I guess I am the only one who ranks the clubs based on their ability to produce professionals, academy players, etc. on the boys side:
1) BSC 2) Arlington 3) Achilles 4) VDA 5) Everybody else 🤷 |
I apologize if you cannot read. |
