APS extended day registration fail

AAAAHHHH! I got through the four drop down menus only to be told--"There are no programs open for this search at this time." AGAIN.

Same here. If we can't get in after rearranging my schedule and spending all this time, I will raise hell too. (My kids' school does fill and has had waitlists in the past, so it's a real possibility.) And if this is so terribly inconvenient and difficult for my partner and me, who both have flexible schedules and computer access at our jobs, imagine what it's like for people without those advantages. This is terrible. Come to think of it, I might just raise hell regardless. This needs to be fixed.

I am with you, PP, and I am going to raise hell anyway. I am teleworking today and have some flexiblity to sit and hit refresh for almost 1.5 hours, but what about all the families who have to take (unpaid) leave to do this, or who don't have the luxury of telework or sitting for 1.5 hours to play on a effing website ... just to get extended daycare for their kids after school. I truly am disgusted by this, especially when this is the third year in a row this has happened. I am planning to email the school board now, actually, while I screw around hitting refresh.

The Extended Day registration is currently suspended due to technical issues. The developer is on-site working to restore service as soon as possible. We will notify families when registration has been reopened. We greatly appreciate your patience.

Pardon my ignorance (we are new to Arlington Public Schools) but how will they notify us when it is back up?

I'm from a new family trying to register for Kindergarten aftercare and do not yet receive e-mails from APS. Can someone please post as soon as they announce a new registration time? This is very frustrating. Thanks.

I was just able to register my kids.

I just registered my children, and I am printing out the confirmation as evidence that I signed them up today. If they cancel it or offer another day and try to rescind it, I will have proof that I signed up this morning. This is ridiculous.
