Does Trevor Noah annoy anyone else?

I’ve never watched him perform but I read his book about growing up in South Africa under apartheid and have nothing but respect for the guy.
That is a wonderful book! I wish I was still teaching because that would be a very accessible book for students about the apartheid era.

John Stewart annoys the hell out of me. I think he is talented, and I appreciate what he did during the Daily Show, but he comes across as very condescending and arrogant.

I'm in the minority here- I hated John Stewart's face and whiny voice. Watching him was like watching too many Seinfeld episodes in a row.

Trevor Noah has a way of complaining that isn't whiny/grating. Gorgeous, and his book was insightful and his comedy is so funny. I always think of his comment that he felt like a "bag of weed" when growing up (apartheid). No one wanted to take ownership of him/admit that they were with him. I think if more people heard his stand up on this, it would inform the way they viewed race.

I like him!

I don’t like Samantha Bee at all. I’ve tried because her content would be up my alley but I can’t stand her delivery.

Meh, I love him. You must be a republican, OP!

I like Trevor Noah more than I liked Jon Stewart at the end of his run. The last couple of years he seemed to become more about the performance than the substance and it wasn't as interesting anymore. I like the Trevor Noah has a little more of an outsider's perspective on what's going on in the county, he's more willing to take on the absurdity of all sides because he doesn't so deeply identify with any of them.

I love him and agree with all the good things said by previous posters. He also suffers from depression, so I respect how he's managed it.

He and Jon Stewart are apples and oranges. Not really worth comparing.

He is funny and adorable. Like him a lot. Liked Stewart too. They are just 2 different comedians/hosts.

I literally haven’t heard anyone say that he’s annoying. He’s amazingly smart, funny, handsome, cultured... What about him do you find annoying?

He's just not that funny. Jon Stewart always had me rolling. Noah is pleasant, but doesn't make me laugh at all.

Nope, just you

Dumb and unfunny.

He has a .25 rating. So a quarter of 1 percent of 18-49 year olds watch.

That's pathetic. More people would watch a live hamster cam.
