One time we were transiting at CDG and our inbound flight had been delayed so we were ilikely going to miss the connection....we only had 20 minutes. There was an AF rep waiting for us as we stepped off the plane and she walked us down the stairs onto the tarmac and into a car that whisked us to our new terminal, walked us through expedited security and onto a cart which brought us to our gate and we made our flight. Amazing service but the most incredible part was that somehow they managed to expedite our luggage as well. They had told us that it wouldn’t be possible but on a whim we stopped at baggage claim at our destination and were shocked to see that the first two bags to emerge were ours. AFter that experience I’ve been a loyal AF customer.

I had "hot connection" stickers and short time tranfer luggage on various airlines. It always comes out first. It's the long connections where I don't like CDG. Munich and British Airways terminal in London are my favorites in Europe.

Noooo! Friends don't let friends fly BA intra-Europe economy. Also BA has two terminals and 2 sub-terminals at LHR. And since its not a Schengen country you will have to clear customs again at your final destination.

The main terminal. I guess I like the free booze at 8am. I always had some great scotch tastings in the early hours.

Fair enough! But where is this free booze at LHR Terminal 5? Business class lounge? OP won't have access to that flying economy.

I've had bad experiences flying through CDG. Very disorganized airport. Mediocre food (come on, it's France!).

Lufthansa via Munich is great.

End of the day, go with the cheapest flight with the best connection timing.

I vote for Lufthansa. Their Airbus aircraft have wider coach seats and aisles than Air France and KLM do on the Boeing 777/787.
